RentMemphis is also happy to assist in determining whether upgrades will increase your return.



Rent Collection
While our thorough tenant screening process helps us place responsible renters who pay on time, life happens — and occasionally a tenant may hit a financial rough patch. When that occurs, it’s essential to have a property management team that knows how to support both the tenant and the property owner, while also handling the legal and logistical side with care and efficiency.
At RentMemphis, here’s how we manage rent collection:
Resident Portal Access: Upon signing the lease, tenants receive 24/7 access to our online Resident Portal, where they can pay rent conveniently and securely. We offer a variety of payment options, including the ability to set up autopay to help streamline timely payments.
Friendly Reminders: Ten days before rent is due, tenants receive an email reminder about the upcoming payment. Rent is due on the 1st and considered late after the 5th.
Graceful Follow-Up: We send payment reminders on the 1st and 3rd. If rent remains unpaid by the 5th, we personally follow up with a text or call to check in, ensure everything is okay, and work with the tenant on a plan to catch up quickly.
Late Notices & Fees: If the full payment isn’t received within the grace period, we issue a formal late rent notice and apply any applicable late fees to the account.
Eviction Support: In rare cases where a tenant stops paying rent altogether, our team will initiate the eviction process and work swiftly to re-rent the property, minimizing any loss of income.
